Merged cells & row groups

Combine a range or collapse a group of rows.

Try it yourself

  1. Select a rectangle of editable cells, then right-click and choose Merge cells.
  2. Right-click the merged range to unmerge it. Undo restores the previous structure.
  3. Select consecutive whole rows and choose Group selected rows. Use the group control to collapse and expand.

Demo notes

The second row in each sample is read-only; AG-00003 Status also denies edits. Selection and copy remain available. Changes stay on this page and reload resets the sample. Screen-reader support still needs manual verification.
